April 9, 2009 Universal South's Joe Nichols has signed on for the lead role in a Broadwayadaptation of the film Pure Country. Production starts in January and Nichols is committed for 10 months. The name of the main character, played by George Strait in the film, has been changed from "Dusty" to "Rusty." Columbia's Miranda Lambert is the new face of Cotton's The Fabric of My Life campaign.
