Universal South's Joe Nichols has signed on for the lead role in a Broadway
adaptation of the film Pure Country. Production starts in January and Nichols is
committed for 10 months. The name of the main character, played by George Strait in
the film, has been changed from "Dusty" to "Rusty."

Columbia's Miranda Lambert is the new face of Cotton's The Fabric of My Life

Universal South's Phil Vassar will play a free concert Friday (4/10) on Nashville's
Lower Broadway following the 103 WKDF Birthday Bash. The Concert For The Common Man starts at 10:30pm local time.


Life Notes: Our condolences to Teddy Gentry, who lost his mother Bertha Jean
Humphrey yesterday to pneumonia. She was 75. A funeral service will be held Thursday
(4/9) in Ft. Payne, AL.
